The Greater Irving Republican Club meets every first Tuesday of the month at 7:00pm at the Spring Creek BBQ 3514 West Airport Freeway (183 at Belt Line) MAP Social and dining an hour before the meeting starts.

Due to the many conflicts that we have encountered on the fourth Tuesday of every month, the GIRC Board voted to change the meeting nights to the FIRST TUESDAY OF EVERY MONTH. This change will begin with May.

Aug 5 7pm	Greater Irving Republican Club Monthly meeting Speaker: Karen Tyrone The Real Story on the Energy Crisis Karen is the Downstream Senior Advisor for ExxonMobil Corporation. She received her B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Louisiana State University in 1985. Upon graduating, she joined Exxon Corporation as an engineer in the Baton Rouge Refinery and held positions in technical, mechanical and process. Karen transferred to Refining Headquarters in 1995 and held positions in both the Capital Project Team and in Supply. In 1998, Karen transferred to the Baytown Refinery and held management positions in Technical and Operations. Karen transferred to Beaumont, Texas, in 2003 as the Technical Division Manager of the Refinery. In 2005 Karen transferred to Dallas and joined the Corporate Safety, Health and Environmental Department as a Senior Advisor, followed by a position in Investor Relations. Karen assumed her current position as Downstream Advisor in 2007. In that capacity, she supports the Corporation's Senior Vice President, Mr. J. S. Simon and Senior Vice President and Treasurer, Mr. D.D. Humphreys. She is the mother of two teenage children, which happily consume much of her free time.
